“Will: Where’s Elizabeth?
Jack: She’s safe, just like I promised. She’s all set to marry Norrington, just like she promised. And you get to die for her, just like you promised. So we’re all men of our word really… except for, of course, Elizabeth, who is in fact, a woman.”—
Pirates of the Carribean, The Curse of the Black Pearl
“The last line of the Divine Comedy, in which Dante is faced with the vision of God Himself, is a sentiment that is still easily understandable by anyone familiar with so-called modern Italian. Dante writes that God is not merely a blinding vision of glorious light, but that He is, most of all, l’amor che move il sole e l’altre stelle…
“The love that moves the sun and the other stars.”
So it’s really no wonder that I want so desperately to learn this language.”— Elizabeth Gilbert, “Eat, Pray, Love”
Sometimes the truth hurts so I run away from it. I have the same feeling of throwing everything away — if the people don’t care I don’t see why I should. But then you don’t drop out of something just because you’re in the middle of hard times. Oh what pride I have. gulp.
Random title just felt like what it sounds like. [Indulging in song-looping.]
You’re not alone Together we stand I’ll be by your side, you know I’ll take your hand
Keep holding on 'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through Just stay strong 'Cause you know I'm here for you, I'm here for you There’s nothing you could say
I. hectic schedules II. last-minute changes III. uncontactable conductor IV. inevitable hastiness when trying to help/ do my part V. a ton of we-don’t-know-what-we’re-going-to-do VI. no backup plans for bad weather
Usually half of what the music department does not look good/ well-organized to an average person: People complain when we do not book the hall for regular rehearsals. Teachers disprove of students skipping lessons periodically. The school poses pressure when results achieved aren’t satisfying (enough).
I’m pretty sure the board is going to go completely nuts one day.
But meanwhile, whatever’s meant to be will work out perfectly. B-)
